Get to Know the Local Bands that make up Sacramento

As you may know, this pandemic has changed our lives in many different ways. Within the music industry, most live events, including large concerts and small local performances, have been canceled for over a year. In light of this obstacle, local Sacramento artists and bands are having to find new and improved ways to bring music to their fans. After a year of no live music, it’s safe to say that we’re all craving a little jam session!

To help us get back into the musical groove of things, here are a few local bands that are staying active during this time. Enjoy virtual concerts, sit downs with the artists, and some upcoming in-person performances to fulfill all your music needs.

Local Sacramento Bands You Need to Hear

Dog Party

Since 2007 Lucy and Gwendolyn Giles have been producing Punk rock and alternative music in Sactown. After opening for Green Day in early 2020, the pandemic hit, and this took Dog Party on a different path. This dynamic duo turned to Facebook and Instagram to find an alternative way to give their fans the music they wanted by offering live virtual sound checks.
